Cadets Support Southend Race for Life

We were proud to support this year’s Race for Life on Sunday with a bumper team of cadets volunteering throughout the event.

Our cadets played an important role from start to finish, helping organise participants into runners, joggers and walkers before the event began, creating a fantastic atmosphere as the crowds gathered. They also had the exciting responsibility of setting off the confetti cannons to mark the start of the race.

Out on the course, our cadets provided endless encouragement and motivation to participants with loud cheers and words of support every step of the way. Their enthusiasm and energy helped spur on countless runners, joggers and walkers throughout the event. We are amazed any of them had voices left by the end of the day!

At the finish line, cadets were on hand to congratulate participants by presenting medals, handing out water and snacks, and celebrating everyone’s achievements as they crossed the line.

A huge well done to all of the cadets who volunteered and represented the squadron so positively within the community. Events such as Race for Life are always inspiring to be part of, and we are proud to have been able to support such an important cause.
