Bronze DofE Cadets Complete Successful Expedition Training Weekend

We recently completed a successful weekend of initial expedition and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) training. The cadets covered campcraft, outdoor cooking and stove safety, route planning, the Country Code, and navigation skills before putting their learning into practice by walking their planned route from Hockley to Canewdon under remote supervision. Well done to all involved.

Thank you to Sgt Risdon from Rayleigh Sqn for his support and assistance throughout the weekend. We were also pleased to welcome a visitor from Staffordshire Wing, ex-1312 cadet CI Richard Clapp, who joined us to observe how these activities are delivered. It was a pleasure to have him with us.

We look forward to the cadets completing their Bronze DofE qualifying expedition later in the year.
