Cadets Take on the Challenge at Rockhub Indoor Climbing

Cadets from the squadron tested their skills last Tuesday during a session at Rockhub Indoor Climbing. The evening introduced them to the basics of climbing, including technique, efficient movement, and problem-solving on the wall.

One of the toughest sections was the overhang, which required a mix of strength and strategy to navigate. With support from their peers, many cadets gave it a go, gaining confidence and improving with each attempt.

Over the coming weeks, they will build on these skills by learning how to belay an essential technique for managing a climbing partners rope. Some may also use climbing as their physical activity for the Duke of Edinburghs Award.

The squadron will continue developing their climbing abilities in future sessions, providing cadets with a new challenge to take on.
