Volunteering fun in the Southend sun yesterday at the One Love Project!

Yesterday, eight of our dedicated cadets spent their time volunteering with the One Love Project in Southend, contributing to a great cause while working towards their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

In the warm Southend sunshine, our cadets rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into sorting and sizing baby clothes donations. Their work was part of a wider project to support local families in need, ensuring that donated items are organised and ready for redistribution or sale through online platforms such as Vinted.

The atmosphere was full of energy and enthusiasm, with plenty of teamwork and good humour throughout the session. The cadets took pride in their efforts, and the impact was immediate as items prepared by the Vinted team began selling before the session had even finished. This shows just how effective their contribution was.

Volunteering is a key element of the DofE Award, and it’s fantastic to see our cadets giving back to their community in such a positive and meaningful way. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment and effort.

Well done to all involved. A brilliant example of service, teamwork, and making a difference.
