On Saturday, several of our dedicated cadets volunteered their time to support the Royal British Legion with poppy sales in Southend’s city centre raising an amazing £871.94. Braving a wet start to the day, they set up with enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose. Fortunately, the sun joined us later, making for a pleasant afternoon.
Throughout the day, the cadets received many kind words and expressions of appreciation from members of the public, who admired their commitment and effort. It was heartening to see the cadets engaging so positively with the community and supporting such an important cause. Their contributions to the Poppy Appeal help to honour and remember those who have served, and we are incredibly proud of the work they’ve done.
