Cadets Represent the Squadron at Essex Wing Cross Country Competition

Yesterday morning, cadets from 1312 (City of Southend-on-Sea) Squadron gave an outstanding performance at the Essex Wing Cross Country competition held in Brentwood. Representing their squadron with pride, the juniors completed a challenging 3k route, while the seniors pushed through a 5k course, showing great determination and commitment.

The event saw participants from squadrons across the Essex Wing, with each cadet pushing themselves to their limits. For many, it was a chance to step out of their comfort zones and test their endurance.

C.I Spencer Atkins, The Squadron’s Sports Officer, expressed his pride in the cadets: “Our cadets really gave it their all today. It’s not easy to step up for a competition like this, especially knowing the distances involved. Their effort and team spirit were incredible, and I couldn’t be prouder of how they represented the squadron.”

This competition not only served as a test of physical endurance but also fostered camaraderie among the cadets. Each cadet who took part displayed great resilience and a willingness to go above and beyond for their squadron.

The Squadron is immensely proud of all the cadets who competed and demonstrated such dedication in the Essex Wing Cross Country competition.
