Last year, our squadron’s minibus was stolen, leaving us without vital transport for our cadets. Since then, we’ve been busy fundraising to replace it. Thanks to the incredible generosity of 2Excel Aviation, who donated £5000, we’ve now reached our target!
Steve Armson, a Flight Engineer with 2Excel and Flying Officer with RAFAC in his home town in Nottinghamshire , said:
“The minibus was used to transport cadets to activities such as competitions, sporting events, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, flying and gliding from RAF bases, and camps throughout the UK. Being an Air Cadet provides such great opportunities for young people, and I thought it unfair that the callous action of thieves could jeopardise this.”
Our Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant Busby, added:
“This kind donation by 2Excel means we’ve been able to secure a safe, reliable minibus and afford to insure and service it for the next year. Thank you to Steve and 2Excel for ensuring our young people can continue to benefit from their time with RAFAC.”
Our minibus fundraising gofundme page is now officially closed – thank you to everyone who supported us!
